Applications
The Flow Controller is suitable for the following applications:
– production of grain mixtures by dosing from different silos, __automatic recipe control
– Controlled unloading of silos for constant feeding to __processing machines
– easy replacement of existing unloading devices, low installation costs
The Flow Controller requires a maximum product height above the device for proper operation.
Operation
An electrically controlled flat slide is located in a steel housing. Below the flat slide is a weighing sensor that measures product flow. The user enters a desired flow capacity and starts dispensing. The flat slide gradually opens and the product flows over the weighing sensor with increasing flow capacity. When the desired capacity is reached, the slide movement stops.
Products
All free flowing products can be measured, e.g. grain, pulses, grains, malt, pellets, soy, granules, etc.
Construction
The Flow Controller consists of a basic housing, a flat slide with ball bearing, a cylinder with stepper motor, a weighing sensor, a weighing cell and electrical connections. The housing is dust-tight.
Compact electronics, mounted directly on the dosing unit (24 V DC), with LED display, keypad, easy integration with the following interfaces:
– Digital input (24V), 2 x relay output (24V, kg pulses/alarms)
– Analog input (0-10V), analog output (0(4)-20mA)
– RS485 interface
– Profibus interface (optional)
– Profinet interface (optional)
Accuracy
The Flow Controller has a measurement tolerance of 0.2-2% (related to the operating range of 20-100% of max capacity), depending on inlet condition, product homogeneity, flow capacity and external interfering sources.
