VDL Industrial Products has developed the new Medium Duty (MD) dosing valves. These valves are especially built and tested for dosing- and pneumatic conveying of powders and granulates. Our modular building concept allows us to use “of the shelf” parts, which are combined to a customized solution within the shortest possible delivery time.
MD rotary valves can be used in installations with differential-pressures up to approx. 1 bar. In- and outlet are designed for optimal filling and low resistance, resulting in less wear to the valve, and less damage to the conveyed product.
The use of external ball-bearings, adjustable gland packings and a direct drive ensure optimum maintenance-friendliness.
The construction of this valve allows a conversion into a quick disassembly version without large alterations. This can be of importance in hygienic applications or other situations in which different products will be conveyed, and contamination must be avoided.
In- and outlet flanges are round, and drilled according to PN10 standard, offering swift replacement in excisting situations.
MD 150 and MD 200 can be divered with capacities of 3, respectively 11 ltr/rev. at 100% fillingrate.
In the future more capacities will be available.
These cast iron valves with steel or stainless steel rotor, can optionally be fitted with inside chromium plated housing to decrease wear, or in- and outside nickel-plating, to increase corrosion resistance.
Many standard options like revolution control, built-in frequency controller, or scrape blades are possible, but also special custom-built injectors can be delivered on the MD-series.
ATEX 94/9/EC versions are available.
